Kelleys Island is located on Lake Erie, one of the best fishing areas around!
We have visitors from all over the world during the summer season. You can catch a ferry from Sandusky or Marblehead. (for more info try www.caddyshacksqure.com/PressRelease.htm)
The main season is between Memorial Day and Labor Day, but some would say the best time to be on the island is before or after that time. Granted, not everything is open in say April during the week, but there is great fishing to be had.
And the colors in the fall, the quietness, the Lake view and the friendly people is just what is needed after a busy summer.
Businesses generally hire J-1 Visa foreign students that can come and legally work for 4 months during their college break and U.S. college students which makes for a great mix of cultures for our visitors to enjoy.
